Brrrrr!

Here are some pics of our little ice storm last night. Everything was melting already, but the roads are still pretty bad.

Claire's lost teeth

Claire has now lost her 2 front teeth! She lost them a couple weeks apart, but I think she swallowed both of them during the night. The first time she was upset about it, but then said "well maybe the tooth fairy came and pulled it out." Of course, I went along with that! The tooth fairy left a dollar under her pillow the next day. Claire is not one for details so she didn't care that she pulled it one night and left the dollar the next! (My son would have analyzed that to death!)

The second tooth came out a couple of days ago. She realized it and ran back into her room to look in her bed for it. Now, being the quick thinker that I am, I headed in there too. And guess what! The "tooth fairy" left another dollar for her! I love little kids! She even told me the night before she had wished that the tooth fairy would come and pull the tooth out and leave her a dollar. She was so excited when it actually happened. Guess it never hurts to make a wish!

My Birthday Cake

My husband usually buys me a cake for my birthday, but this year my daughter (6 yrs) wanted to make one. So, last night my kids (with a little help from dad) made my birthday cake. My daughter (with a little help from dad) also decorated it.

Here is their masterpiece. Isn't it adorable? I can't wait to taste it tonight!

Lunch??

Yesterday I left the kids with my husband while I ran errands. I told him to feed them lunch. He did...yogurt & popcorn! (One had bagels and popcorn, I think.) Next time I guess I'll have to be a little more specific! Man, they must love when daddy cooks. They never talk me into lunches like that!

Men...you just gotta love 'em!

Our first day back at school

This was our first day back since the holidays and I sure am slow getting into the groove of things! The kids did well though. Usually my son complains a lot, but he didn't today. My daughter actually started her school work yesterday and did extra math today...all of her own free will!! I just love it when that happens!
