I have been crazy busy lately! I've totally neglected my blog. I will think of a good post and have it all perfect in my head and then I won't have the time to actually go to the blog and post it! We have a week and a half left of school before the break...I'm so ready!
Here's a little of what we've been up to. We repainted and added shelves to the laudry room, but I just realized I never took after pictures...oh well, I'll get that done one day! I've also been baking a lot of cookies and still have more to bake! My husband's birthday is also coming up and we are hosting 2 different Christmas parties for various kids' groups at our house. We've already attended one Christmas party and have another coming us this weekend. Also, on the agenda is confirmation volunteer hours and retreats that my son has to do, a birthday party, and, as always, school and gymnastics!
My husband is taking a few days off around Christmas so we are going to start that little vacation with a trip to a local theater to see "Scrooge". Hopefully, we'll get a chance to go look at Christmas lights...and put ours up! Its been cold and rainy so Chris and Nathan haven't been able to get out there and put them up.
My son's art class made ornaments for a tree that is displayed at the local art library. The ornaments are books that are covered in famous works of art. They turned out very cute. The chain and topper and made from recycled book pages.
And it wouldn't be Christmas without our annual trip to paint Christmas ornaments! Here are the kids creations from this year...
It is cold here now so I've got to snuggle with the cat every once in a while!
Speaking of the cat, she thinks we put the Christmas tree up just for her to lay under!
She wasn't very happy once I put the gifts under there, but I left her a spot. :)
My favorite thing about Christmas time is wrapping presents. I love to wrap presents!
My least favorite would be shopping for those presents!
What about you? What's your favorite and least favorite things about this time of year?

We've missed you! You are so far ahead of me with the baking. I haven't even started! Love those ornaments. We make salt dough ornaments ever year and we really need to get started with that before time runs out.
Sounds like you are enjoying lots of festivities ;) Hope you get some down time too!
Aimee!! Missed you! Merry Christmas if you don't get back online before Christmas. Blessings
I think everyone slides on the blog posts this time of year! Love the painted ornaments!
I missed you! Glad that you are well and enjoying the Christmas season!
I am not such a fan of wrapping presents, I more prefer baking and crafting.
Hmm Getting the cards out and getting all of the shopping done.. I want it to be great for everyone.. Have fun hosting that party.. Love the things your children have done. Poor Cat.. Ha Ha.
