Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!

We made these yummy rice krispie treats yesterday.  We used muffin pans to shape the nests, added green icing and Peep chicks in the big nests and malted milk eggs in the little ones.  Very easy and cute!

Wordful Wednesday

A few pictures from Easter Sunday...

Claire runs so fast hunting eggs that its hard to get a good picture.

I made her stop and pose for this one!

Nathan, who is 13, proclaimed himself too old to hunt eggs.

He is, however, ever too old to enjoy a chocolate bunny!

Before Church...

That afternoon I took Claire to see her first Broadway play...Beauty and the Beast.
It was FABULOUS!!!

Wordful Wednesday is hosted by Parenting by Dummies and Seven Clown Circus.

Postcard Friendship Friday #45

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter this weekend! I picked this card up at an antique mall. The postmark on the back says 1911.

Peeps!

Our newspaper has a Peeps diorama contest each year. This year claire made one. She just made a small one, but it turned out real cute. She chose a snow theme since we've had so much snow this year. She didn't make it into the top 10, and she was disappointed. I told her we could do a bigger one next year. Here is her diorama:

If you'd like to see the 10 finalist you can see them on our paper's website. Some of these people really go all out and make big, extravagant ones!
