Catching up

Gosh, I just don't seem to have time to blog anymore. I always think about things I want to post, but then I never get the time to post them. I'm stealing a few minutes right now in between art classes and right before I have to go make the kids' lunch. So here's a little of what we've been up to lately:

Random updat #1: We had our first homeschool science fair this last weekend. We had a small, but good turnout and I think it was successful. Hopefully, we can continue to have them. I think the kids really learn a lot doing their projects.

Random update #2:
I had lost my watch the weekend after Christmas. It was my Mickey Mouse watch that my husband bought me at Disney World. It was a really sweet, spontaeous gift so the watch was special to me. I remembered picking it up off the bookcase in the living room to put it away, but that was the last time I saw it. It was missing for about 2 weeks. I was so bummed. I turned the house upside down looking for it. Then, I found it a couple of nights ago! It was in the pocket of my robe! Apparantly, I got sidetracked when going to put it away (imagine that!) and stuck it in the pocket. I don't wear the robe very often so it was a couple weeks before I found it again. I was so happy!
Ok, I have time for only one more random update! This is from the files of funny things Claire says. She's trying to make a hot air balloon for her stuffed cat. She put her in a bucket and tied a jump rope to it and it trying to launch it off the landing of the stairs. Well, a little while ago I hear her softly repeating "help" "help". I thought she was playing, but after a while I decided to ask what she was doing. (I know, good mom, right? Wait 5 minutes if they're still calling for help then go check it out!) Anyway, her reply? "Technical Difficulties." How funny is that? I had to go rescue the stuffed cat because she didn't want to drop her down to the floor!
Ok, now I feel better that I have actually posted on my blog! Now, I'm off to make lunch so we can eat really quick and head back out to Nathan's art class.

I am part of a homeschooling support group in our area, Amy. That is the organization that we had the science fair though. We also do PE and art classes, holiday parties, etc.
