Homeschool Talk: Magic Tree House

Claire has not had an easy time learning to read. I've tried everything I can think of. She's been doing better, but still struggling some. Well, yesterday we got the first Magic Tree House book from the library. She started reading it on the way home. She couldn't put it down. She finished it this morning! I'm so proud of her. Maybe I just haven't been giving her the right things to read...or maybe...that tree house really is magic! Either way, I'm so excited. She can't wait to get the next book. Thank you, Thank you, Mary Pope Osborne for writing those wonderful books!!

If your child is starting to read check this series out. It great for boys and girls. My son loved them as well and will still read the new ones as they come out.

My son really loved the Magic Tree House series too! I am so glad that Claire found something she can really get into. My daughter is 9 and she has read all the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" books...she would read each one in a matter of hours! It's fun to see kids excited about reading! Great post!

I read this series to my kids last year and they loved it too. I'm hoping my son will pick them up one day soon and start reading them on his own this time.

Good for Claire! Everyone says, with reading, if they struggle don't worry, one day it will just "click."
