My mom gave me some Postcards from the Old West Collectors Series. This is one of them. Here is a little summary of what the back of the postcard said:
Judge Roy Bean was known as "The Law West of the Pecos". He tried a gang of horse theives in front of the courthouse saloon in Langtry, TX. He was a saloon keeper and would oftern recess trials to sell liquor to the courtroom. He also once fined a dead man and staged a heavyweight boxing match in the middle of the Rio Grand!

What a great card! I've read much about Judge Bean. What a character - as wild as the west was!
LOL that is so crazy! Can you imagine a judge doing that nowadays?!
Interesting stuff!
