Postcard Friendship Friday #69

I'm posting this postcard of a white tailed deer today because its very spring-like. The White tailed deer is one of the most abundant game animals in the Texas Hill Country. We were just in the hill country this last weekend, but we didn't see any deer except one that had been hit on the highway. :( Postcard Friendship Friday is hosted by Beth at The Best Hearts are Crunchy. Speaking of spring, my daughter and I entered our newspaper's annual spring Peeps Diorama contest. We made it to the top ten so voting is now opened to the public. We could really use votes so if you'd like to help us out and vote for us click on the following link. Our entry is "Peeping Beauty". Thanks!!

What a beautiful deer! It does give a feeling of spring.

Speaking of roadkill, there is a dead rabbit on the street outside of my place now. A sign of Spring, I guess.

I've seen a deer - the first time in my life *sheepish* - in Sri Lanka. It was a spotted one and they gather around the hotel very early in the morning.
Good luck with your diorama entry.
Enjoy the weekend!
