Postcard Friendship Friday #17

Welcome to another Postcard Friendship Friday hosted by Marie at http://www.cpaphilblog.com/ Stop by her site to join in or see other postcards.

This is a postcard I picked up at an antique mall. It made me laugh so I just had to buy it! I mean, this is an odd postcard to get in the mail!

The back of it says: German American Novelty Art Series 532. Printed in Germany. I'm not sure of the year. There is no postage on it, but the place for postage does say Domestic and Canada one cent, foreign 2 cents.

How very lovely. I agree with postcardy--reminds me of the way my cats eye the various large beetles that fly in from the forest. Hahaaaa...wonderful postcard.

It really is a funny card! The chicks look so wary. :)

This reminds me of an old painting I saw in an antique shop.

It has a bowl of milk, with kittens around it. They are watching a poor mouse struggling to swim in the bowl of milk.

The mouse has the choice, of course. Drown, or get out of the bowl and get eaten.
