This is the 3rd of my mission postcards. This is Mission Concepcion. This one was my favorite. I think it was the prettiest of all of them. It was completed in 1755 and is one of the oldest un-restored stone churches in the U.S.
You can still see some of the frescos that are on the inside.
Here is one that, I believe, was in a side altar.
It's just beautiful! That's why this mission is my favorite!
Here are my kids in front of the main altar.

I had no idea we had something so beautiful, old and pristine here in the US! I would absolutely love to visit that mission. Thank you for this wonderful post!
Lovely lovely! Happy PFF!
Very beautiful mission. You are so lucky to have been able to visit there!
Lovely. And it never fell down, so it didn't have to be restored, huh?
I love that you are showing these and so looking forward to our Dec RiverWalk trip. We are going to visit them all.
A beautiful mission, Aimee! thank you for visiting me at my post for this meme. I'm new and very excited to join in. :)
It is lovely.
BTW let me know if you want to trade cards any time. I know you collect and we live close to Colonial Williamsburg and many other historic sites that might tie in with homeschooling. Just thought I'd offer :D
Have a great weekend!
Howdy Aimee
