We just got back from vacation so boy, do I have postcards! The first day of our vacation we drove through Oklahoma and Kansas to Kansas City, MO. We didn't stop anywhere in Oklahoma that I could buy postcards, but we did stop at a mega mart gas station thing in Kansas so I got some there. I had never been to Kansas before. All I really saw was interstate though. Here's one of my favorite cards. I like cards with the state and then different stuff all about the state on them. :)
And I thought this one was appropriate for Memorial Day Weekend...

"I'm as corny as Kansas in August"...I'll be humming that all evening now...and it's all your fault!! ;-)
There's nothing like a good postcard-buying session. :) Both are beautiful but I do like the top one showing scenes of history.
New places, new postcards, a perfect combination. I always like the different symbols of the states.
Hello, Aimee! So glad you shared your wonderful postcards with us on Postcard Friendship Friday! I'm also pleased to hear you are home safe and sound--with all the awful weather around and about--that's a blessing.
Take care, and happy PFF!
You were in a good state!! We lived in Kansas from 1962 to 1984 thanks to my husband's job with the Santa Fe Railroad. Two negatives - hot, hot summers and bad, bad storms. Otherwise, a friendly place and a good place to live. Most of our stay there was in Topeka and the Kansas City area. I still get back often as my son and his wife are there.
Easier to buy postcards to remind me of a trip than it was to take pictures (before the digital camera), I really like both cards. Happy PFF!
Aimee, I also buy postcards anywhere I travel to. I make sure I send to friends and to myself *cheeky, I know*. Like you, I love the state card. Would you like to swap it to me? :D :D :D

Debs has me singing that corny Kansas song now too! I know what you mean about the interstate- we see nothing of where we are and the rest stops are cookie cutters of all the others. I'm surprised you were able to pick up such nice postcards!
I always used to buy postcards when travelling. I didn't have a camera. Now I am buying them again, only to send them out.
The link on Beth's blog is to your blog and not this post, so I decided to skip back and comment here. I didn't realize the Becky Thatcher was real, but now I do! Nice photos, and these are great cards.
Fun to Travel and collect postcards along the way... looks like you had a great vacation from your pictures posted so far!!! Thanks for sharing... Happy PFF!
