Yesterday I posted about how I'm ready for spring. I am. We've had lots of wet, cold weather recently. Our winters are usually a lot milder than this, but we got the good snow today!
I knew snow was in the forecast for today. Last night on the news they said snow/rain mix in the morning turning to snow in the afternoon. Well, they were a little off! This is what I woke up to this morning.
We had set the recycling out last night and it had little snow drifts around it already!

Claire couldn't wait to get out there! She sure did her schoolwork fast today! I took these pictures through the school room window. She was pointing at the ground telling me, "look how deep it is!" Then she started hopping through it like a frog!

While we were eating lunch Claire spotted some birds sitting in our tree in the front. We are going to hang some food in it for them. They looked cold!

When Nathan finished school he joined Claire outside. They were having a snowball fight and he kept catching the ones she was throwing at him. So, she started making REALLY big snow balls!

According to our noon news we have had 3.5 inches already. It is still coming down, quite heavy at times. They are predicting 6-8 inches before its all over. That is fun snow!
So, I will enjoy this beautiful snow for today and then when it melts away, I will go back to wishing it was spring again!

Wow a lot of snow. How fun.. For you and children. I am so ready for Spring too.
Hi Aimee... my Baby Girl lives in Irving and works in Addison... Her sister's house is in Farmers Branch, so she'll probably just drive there and spend the night... (sis's house is only 10 miles from the Baby's work).
My girls went to elementary & JrHigh in Carrollton, but we moved to Brookhaven when the oldest went to HS, so they were all cheerleaders for RL Turner... small world ain't it!
enjoy your snow... stay warm!!
