Postcard Friendship Friday #6

Here are some other postcards from Australia, courtesy of that same pen pal that sent me last week's card. These are from Perth. The top one is the Floral Clock in Kings Park...that's right a clock made from flowers! How cool is that? He sent me a set of 12 postcards in all and that one is my favorite!

The bottom one is the city skyline view from Kings park. Kings park is a botanic garden in Perth. According to one website I found it is the most popular visitor destination in Western Australia.

Happy Postcard Friendship Friday, Mate!

Nice clock! I see that you like to cook too and I like to play with flour (bake). 1st time looking at these postcards and I may start to play along next week.

Oh, I love the big clock postcard. Very pretty! I sure wouldn't want to be the one doing the weeding though. :o)

The clock is so pretty! The colors are beautiful. Do you think the blues and greens are that much deeper there? It's funny how the magic of postcards always leaves that impression! Happy PFF!

That big flower clock looks neat! I admire the tenacity of the keeper pulling out weeds and clipping branches that are out of place. Must be tough but hey, it really looks great -- postcard-pretty!

Happy May Day!

Oh my gosh.....
Before I started reading, I saw the clock and knew that place.....King's Park! It's been about 17 years now, but somewhere around here I have photos of myself and my children standing next to that clock (and the zoo and all around Perth). We spent 2 weeks in Perth. Husband was in the US Navy at the time, his ship was making a port visit, and we went to meet him there and spend time with him. :-)
Whoops....sorry to go on like that.
Hope your weekend is beautiful...

I can't imagine how a clock made of flowers would work, but obviously it does. Ilove visiting botanic gardens but I don't suppose I'll ever get to that one.
