It was a dark and stormy night last night and today is more of the same! We got some big thunderstorms last night. We got an inch of rain in less than an hour.
This is how the sky looked right before it started raining...
I thought that they were over when we went to bed, but more woke me up around 3:30 am. And there were more to come!
Ok, Three things about me...
1. I don't drive in Dallas
2. I don't usually go out when it rains.
3. I don't drive in rush hour traffic.
Well, this morning I drove to Dallas in rush hour traffic in the rain! Claire had an appointment at Scottish Rite at 8:45 am. We had her tested for dyslexia. (Found out today she doesn't have it so that is a relief.) The weather was just awful though. And to top it all off we had to park on the roof of the parking garage! I got soaked running from the parking lot to the elevators. (I had dropped the kids off under the sheltered elevators.)
When we got home it looked like it hadn't rained at the house. The pavement was all dry. Right after we got home it started raining again. We got about an inch and a half in less than an hour! Here is our street about 11:30 this morning.
I think I might need to build an ark!

Glad you got good news at the DR.s
Especially glad you are all safe at home.
Summer storms can be really scary in Texas.
Take care and keep an eye on the weather .
